ABOUT FREEDOM HOUSE MINISTRIES

a

It’s hard to believe that we have been helping children in Kenya, Africa since 2005! We began by taking $ 75,000 worth of individual bagged gifts to hundreds of orphans. During that time, my experiences led to living in a remote area of that country and the beginning of the educational, training and sustainable feeding project, which continues to feed over 2000 people every week to this day! The lives of many; widows, children and others have changed since we began in that small village. A high TB and AIDS area has seen the death rate diminish in this particular village by 10-15% due to a better diet, clothing and education. Several of the supported students have graduated high school and gone on to college. Some have earned a degree and others have even gone into the ministry to serve at various churches across Africa.

OUR MISSION

a

Extending God’s love worldwide through hands-on humanitarian methods. Feeding, educating, training, equipping and teaching biblical Christian values –  especially to orphans and widows in Africa helping them to find self worth, identity and purpose.

OUR VISION

a

The Humanitarian work of 2017 closed with an 8 year on- going Christ -centered project in a remote village of Lela, Kenya Africa. An increase in academic aptitude levels and a 10-15% decrease in the death rate among the village children resulted in a brand new large 3- room school building built by the government for pre-school children in this village because of the hands on work being done by Freedom House Ministries, Inc.

One young man ( an orphan from this village and supported by us for 8 years) graduated from the University of Nairobi with a Financial Degree.

Six young men have now completed college or technical schools, each one desiring to pursue a higher degree to provide greater job opportunities. Two others are increasing their biblical training to advance the Lords work and many children are continuing in school because we provide for them all school fees, uniforms, books and supplies.

It is now 2023 and we have come through a world wide pandemic two years ago. Covid did affect the village people of Lela and Sega. There was no school, no daily lunch so the children as well as adults were going without. They had no provision. Freedom House provided food to the entire village for nearly 6 months because of donations from supporters.

All of our young men that were mentored by me have grown, completed their studies. Several have married and have children of their own. Three of these grown men now give back by giving their help in the local project of caring for the smaller children. They remember where they came from and how others provided for them.

Freedom House now supporter 35 plus children every month by providing a place to live, all their educational needs, food, necessary clothing and some medical as needed. Monthly support of $50 per child helps keep their needs met throughout the year.

Your support continues to supply life sustaining measures every day for over 450 children that we provide food for at the two schools. Bags of grain, rice and beans are bought at the beginning of each school term three times each year. Prices are mounting higher and higher so your gifts financially are vital. For example, in the last six months prices of food have sometimes doubled when buying a large quantity of beans or rice.

Every dollar creates a future for a child with no hope. This is good ground! A project of over 17 years that has been tested and tried through the faith of our CEO and Board. YOUR DONATION TODAY makes a difference. Every dollar creates a future for a child with no hope.

There are usually two mission trips planned each year ( as funds are available) to Kenya. We love to see what God is doing and give others the opportunity to see first hand the growth and life of happy children.

We now prepare 3000 plus meals weekly for many orphans, some widows and others on site at the Lela school. as well at the Mercy Seat Pre-School in Sega on the church compound. God continues to keep this program strong through prayer and the donations of others that have a heart to help as well as most adults within the village that give from their own foods grown. Currently we support monthly, five cooks and families, four homes with children, one school teacher and the Pastor of the church we built that continues to serve as our project coordinator. As the world turns upside down and shakes, we will stand strong to continue to help othersas their needs arise. Thank you for trusting us to share the blessings of good food, clothing and shelter to those who do not have. I Corinthians 13:8 “Love never fails.”
